Hotz began as a photojournalist, crafting raw, high-impact photo essays from Auschwitz, the Gulf War, Needle Park Zürich, the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Ceaușescu’s orphanages in Bucharest, and New Year’s Eve 2000 in Times Square — developing the fearless, viral storytelling style that would later define his television, digital, and media ventures.
